From our man with the party hat and the Saga Holidays brochure... Party great fun. All tidied up now & Stuart you will be pleased to know that the stain on our hearth (which is already pebbledashed) seems to be diminishing. So much so that my ususally observant wife has not noticed it yet! . Cricket sunday 10 a side. Very Hot!! Idyllic conditions lots of spectators & bar open. MOB X1 batted first 3 x 50s inc Richd Butterworth! total over 200 in 35 overs. I thought Solly & myself (!) bowled well, although everyone toiled away in the heat & weren't helped by @ least 5 dropped catches. (I shall be reminding MG about the one off my bowling for some years to come.) RBCC All out for 140 ish, after being 13-2 ( Biggs 1 & Jones 5!!!) Gummer 57 Peters 25ish both good knocks, everyone was out to poor shot selection. Good wagging tail of KM, PS & Robin Biggs. I for one found it difficult to concentrate against my usual colleagues.
