1.  Vice-captaincy

A proposition made by PJ and seconded by DM was "that there be no vice-captain for the 1988 season".  Voting: for 12, against 1; result - carried.

2.  New members

(i)  Two new members were proposed:

• Richard MacMillan, proposed PoC, seconded MG.  Voting: for 11, abstentions 2; result - voted in.
• Bruce Kennedy, proposed PC, seconded SH.  Voting: for 9, abstentions 5; result - voted in.

(ii)  Payment of fees by the new members (for 1988 season) was discussed leading to two proposals.

• No fees to be levied.  Proposed DE, seconded KM.  Voting: for 3, against 8; result - motion denied.
• £10 to be levied for 1988 season.  Proposed DL, seconded PJ.  Voting: for 9, against 6; result - motion carried.

3  Country membership

(i)  After debate, the committee's motion on this issue was voted on: "that country members be entitled to play up to four games (excluding tour); above this number the full member's subscription would be levied".  Voting: for 7, against 6; result - motion carried.

(ii)  Three proposals were considered for the amount of fees to be levied from country members.

• £5 subscription and £2 match fee, proposed Committee.  Not voted on.
• £5 subscription.  Proposed DL, seconded GP.  Voting: for 4, against 8, abstentions 3; motion denied.
• £10 subscription.  Proposed DM, seconded PoC.  Voting: for 7, against 4, abstentions 3; motion carried.

(iii)  A proposal was then made that "country members should pay fees for the 1988 season".  Voting: for 12, against 2; motion carried.

(iv)  The following candidates for country membership were proposed and voted on en bloc.

• John Anzani
• Richard Butterworth
• Steve Hewlett
• Mike Redfern
• Farooq Hamid

Voting: for unanimous; result - all the above to be offered country membership.

4  Red Bat AGM/EGM quoracy

A motion was made "that the formulae for quoracy of Red Bat CC AGM and EGM meetings be half of the playing members plus one - excluding country members".   Voting: unanimous; result - motion carried.

5  Voting rights

"Voting rights of country members to be the same as full members".   Voting: unanimous; result - motion carried.

6  Any other business

1. John Nolan - John's intentions to be clarifed by the committee.
2. Associate membership - to be reviewed at the next AGM.
